I am an Out of Network provider, thus I do not accept insurance. However, I can provide you a superbill which has all the codes needed for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
The amount of reimbursement you may receive is variable and is dependent on your insurance plan. I also accept HSA/FSA cards for payment.
Not accepting insurance allows me to treat you without having insurance dictate your plan of care nor necessity of care. I understand that my model may be limiting for some, and I am more than happy to refer you to local pelvic PTs in the area who may accept your insurance.

Please do! I know how hard it can be to find childcare when making an appointment for yourself. In fact within the SheWorks space where I am located, they offer limited drop-ins for childcare ages 2.5-6 years old if there is availability. To register, visit www.she-works.co/drop-in-registration in advance. There are two drop-in options per day with the morning session from 8am - 11am and the afternoon session from 12pm - 3pm.
On the other hand, I also know as a mother that it can be stressful and/or difficult to concentrate especially if you bring along your baby and they are fussy.
In the end, yes I am totally fine with you bringing your child as long as you feel you will be able to get the most out of our session together.
*If you are seeing me for therapeutic ultrasound, I actually recommend having baby nurse or pumping right after treatment to improve milk flow to the treated area.

Before getting an assessment of any sort, I like to have an in-depth conversation with you regarding your medical history, lifestyle, habits, symptoms, and goals. By the way, there is no such thing as TMI with me! However, I would only want you to share what you are comfortable with.
Depending on your symptoms and goals, I may do a movement and musculoskeletal assessment, a pelvic floor assessment, or breast assessment if you have a clogged milk duct or suspect mastitis. From there, I’ll create a program to achieve your goals which may include but is not limited to education on lifestyle modifications, exercises, and manual treatment.
Yes, you’ll receive homework on day 1! Most of your progress will come from what you keep up with at home.

Not necessarily. An internal pelvic floor exam gives us more information on how your pelvic floor functions and how its presentation may be contributing to your symptoms. However, I will only perform an internal exam with your consent, and you are even free to change your mind any time during a session! I will only do you what you are comfortable with.

Absolutely! Pelvic physical therapy does not only involve the pelvic floor, but also the rest of the body especially the core, spine, and hip musculature. There is always something that can be done that does not involve internal manual work at the pelvic floor. If needed, I am still able to perform a pelvic floor internal assessment and treatment during your period. It is all up to your comfort level and what your body needs!

Yes! Therapeutic ultrasound is safe even if you have mastitis and are on antibiotics. If you have bacterial mastitis, I recommend being on antibiotics for at least 24 hours before receiving treatment with me unless your medical provider suggests otherwise. Therapeutic ultrasound can help with the ongoing edema and inflammation from mastitis.

Yes! I use EcoVue and per the company, “With a 99% natural formulation free of dyes, parabens, and propylene glycol, EcoVue Ultrasound Gel is gentler on patients.”

I do not treat cis-gender male patients at this time as treating this population includes additional training outside of my expertise, however I am more than happy to refer you to pelvic PTs in the area that treat male pelvic floor conditions.
