Pregnancy Rehabilitation

Get physical support during your pregnancy

Expecting a little one? Whether you are dealing with muscle or joint aches and pains, having pelvic floor symptoms, or wanting ways to prepare your body for childbirth, you do not have to navigate your pregnancy symptoms alone. Working with a pelvic floor physical therapist can help you stay strong, functional, and relatively symptom-free or at least manageable!

Research indicates that exercise during pregnancy has tremendous benefits for the mother and baby including decreased odds of gestational diabetes, gestational hypertension, and pre-eclampsia. It is totally safe to start a guided strengthen training program if you were not in a consistent workout routine prior to pregnancy. If you were already exercising consistently prior to pregnancy, I love helping mothers stay active during pregnancy especially with continuing to run during pregnancy and weight lifting.

Throughout the course of your care depending on your main goals and concerns, I also like to implement spinal and hip mobility work in addition to addressing pelvic floor tension early on so that we’re not trying to play “catch up” by the time you get closer to your due date in your third trimester.
