$185.00

This initial visit is for you if you have any abdominal or pelvic floor issues you’d like to address whether your symptoms started recently or have been ongoing for several years. This also includes postpartum rehabilitation beyond 1 year after giving birth. It is never too late to start your rehabilitation journey! For our first session, we will discuss your history, lifestyle, symptoms, and goals. A musculoskeletal assessment and/or pelvic floor assessment will be performed, and based on my findings, I will create a program which may include but is not limited manual treatment, exercises, and lifestyle recommendations to help you meet your goals. We’ll also discuss your prognosis and my recommendation for your session frequency to get you better as soon as possible.

For our first session, we will discuss your history, lifestyle, symptoms, goals, and what you are hoping for your birth experience. A musculoskeletal assessment and/or pelvic floor assessment will be performed, and based on my findings, I will create a program which may include but is not limited manual treatment, exercises, and lifestyle recommendations to help you meet your goals. Early Postpartum Visit (0 to 4 weeks postpartum) - 60 minutes

In Clinic: $170.00
Mobile Visit: $180.00

I provide customized exercises to help you stay comfortable during the first few weeks postpartum and teach you how to connect with your core and pelvic floor no matter how you gave birth. The emphasis of these visits are to re-establish your foundation versus bouncing back to get in shape. If you had a Cesarean birth, I can teach you ways to help with your incision’s sensation, healing, and pain that do not involve touching the scar directly. If you have any other symptoms you’d like to address regarding your abdomen or pelvic floor, I am happy to give guidance for managing these early on.

I also teach you how to slowly progress activity while respecting your body’s recovery in order to prevent an excessive increase in lochia. Especially in the early postpartum period, rest is essential for your long-term recovery. While I do acknowledge that significant physical changes can occur during the first several weeks after birth, I do find it helpful to do gentle and intentional movement to prepare for more activity further along. Internal pelvic floor assessments and direct Cesarean scar tissue massage are deferred to at least 6 weeks postpartum or when provided medical clearance from your midwife or OB/GYN to allow proper healing and to prevent infection.

Mobile visits are only available for those who are up to 4 weeks postpartum. If you are already at least 4 weeks postpartum, please schedule an initial postpartum evaluation in-clinic with me for your first visit. Mobile visits are available to those who reside in Tacoma, Lakewood, Fircrest, University Place, Ruston, & Puyallup.

Initial evaluation for Postpartum rehabilitation - 60 minutes

$185.00

This initial visit is for you if you have given birth within this past year and are at least 4 weeks postpartum whether you had a vaginal or Cesarean birth.

For our first session, we will discuss your birth experience, medical history, lifestyle, symptoms, and goals. A musculoskeletal assessment, return to exercise screening, and/or pelvic floor assessment will be performed, and based on my findings, I will create a program which may include but is not limited manual treatment, exercises, and lifestyle recommendations to help you meet your goals. If you had a Cesarean birth, I will also assess your scar and provide tips on normalizing sensation and improving tissue integrity. We’ll also discuss your prognosis and my recommendation for your session frequency to get you better as soon as possible.

follow-up visits - 60 minutes

$165.00

This visit accounts for any visit after an initial evaluation with me for pelvic health, pregnancy, or postpartum. Follow-up visits are where we discuss how your body responded to your homework and our previous session, then we make any progressions or modifications to your program as needed to meet your goals. You must have an initial evaluation with me prior to booking a follow-up visit.

therapeutic ultrasound for clogged milk ducts - 30 minutes

In-Clinic: $75.00 per session
Mobile: $90.00 per session (see below on cities I serve for visit)
Package of 3 sessions: $210.00 (may include 1 mobile visit if needed)

If you are experiencing pain from a clogged milk duct or mastitis, I will perform a breast exam to assess any involved regions and apply therapeutic ultrasound to the affected area(s) for 8-10 minutes. Session includes lymphatic massage along the affected breast(s) and education on home management. Research suggests an average of 3.3 sessions is effective in treating clogged ducts. A fourth session may be suggested when we first meet if you have a history of recurring clogged milk ducts and/or multiple clogged milk ducts. You may notice improvement after your first session, however I highly recommend having at least one more therapeutic ultrasound visit to ensure the clogged duct has resolved.

Early treatment within 24 hours of symptom onset is ideal to prevent possible progression to mastitis or breast abscess. If you are experiencing a fever, are having chills, or if your breast feels hot to the touch you must see a medical physician prior to booking an appointment with me. Please contact me if you do not see available times on my scheduler, and I will do my best to make accommodations so you can get treatment in a timely manner.

Contraindications or Precautions: If you have any of the below, therapeutic ultrasound is not recommended for treatment.

  • Presence of Breast Abscess

  • Known or Suspected Breast Cancer

  • Presence of Pacemaker

  • Vascular Disease or Ischemic Tissue along Breast(s)

  • Breast Implants (Precaution)
